Job summary

West Edmonton Mall is seeking an Ironworker for structural maintenance across Galaxyland Amusement Park and World Waterpark. The role involves inspecting rides, fabricating and installing steel, and refurbishing water attractions.

You will also hoist equipment and operate aerial platforms during mall operations. Requirements include a Journeyperson Ironworker certification, 2–4 years of experience, strong teamwork and communication, and the ability to pass a security clearance.

The Ironworker has the main responsibility of structural maintenance in all aspects of West Edmonton Mall’s Attractions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Structural inspection of all rides in the Galaxyland Amusement Park.
• Structural fabrication and installation of steel throughout West Edmonton Mall.
• Structural corrosion maintenance on steel structures at the World Waterpark.
• Painting, refurbishing, and maintenance of all steel structures at the World Waterpark.
• Maintenance and refurbishing of all water slides at the World Waterpark.
• Equipment hoisting and movements at various locations throughout West Edmonton Mall.
• Placing and operating aerial platform equipment during mall operations and assist all departments at West Edmonton Mall with a variety of tasks and duties.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a valid Journeyperson Ironworker certification.
• A minimum of two (2) - four (4) years-experience in the Ironwork field.
• Excellent background in all aspects of structural steel installation, fabrication, and hoisting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work at heights, strong attention to detail and great problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• This is a full-time position that is required Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.
• This position has a starting wage of $39.50/hour.
• Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
