Job summary

A Few Good Lads is seeking motivated individuals for Iron Worker / Rebar Worker roles across the Lower Mainland, BC. Training will be provided, no prior rebar or ironworking experience required, with a starting wage of $25 per hour.

You will learn to safely install reinforcing steel on construction sites, working alongside seasoned tradespeople, and develop skills for a long-term career in construction. This entry-level opportunity emphasizes hands-on learning and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Some previous construction experience required.
• Strong interest in developing a career in construction.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Comfortable with physically demanding work.
• Able to lift and carry construction materials.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to work safely as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced ironworkers and rebar workers with daily tasks.
• Help place, tie, and install reinforcing steel and rebar.
• Measure, cut, bend, and position rebar as directed.
• Use basic hand and power tools.
• Move and organize materials around the job site.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Follow drawings, measurements, and instructions from experienced workers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Learn proper tools, techniques, and procedures for rebar installation.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Participate in training and develop skills within the trade.
• Perform other general construction duties as required.
