Job summary

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a Home Care Nurse to provide nursing and support services to elderly, chronically ill and disabled patients across Iqaluit. Reporting to the Nurse Manager Iqaluit Home and Community Care, you will promote optimal functioning in activities of daily living.

The role requires a Bachelor of Nursing with two years of related experience, valid driver’s license, and eligibility to register with CNNN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with two years of related experience.
• Eligible to register with CNNN (College of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify a client care plan based on assessed needs and prescribed regimens.
• Ensure implementation of the client care plan.
• Develop rapport with the client, caregiver and family while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
