Job summary

Lockheed Martin Canada seeks a Systems Engineer to plan, implement, test, document, and maintain integration and testing of in-house and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems and systems. You will synthesize customer needs into test solutions while balancing technical, schedule and cost constraints.

The role requires a strong background in testability, system specifications, and cross-functional coordination, with experience in CAM, leadership, and risk management to drive successful project outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software, hardware, systems, mechanical, electrical or electronics engineering, or equivalent with nine years’ experience; or seven years with a related master’s
• Equivalent experience/education will be considered
• Experience with lifecycles, test and trials
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical staff
• Aptitude for solving problems in a team
• Initiative and autonomy
• High learning ability
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
• Experience as CAM (Cost Account Manager)
• Experience leading projects or teams
• Experience with risk and opportunity mitigation

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain integration and testing of in-house and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems and systems
• Synthesize customer needs into system test solutions under schedule and cost constraints
• Establish functional and technical specs and standards for testability
• Coordinate subsystem and system testing with programs and other organizations
• Analyze test results and prepare evaluation reports
• Write discrepancy reports and perform regression testing to verify fixes
