Job summary

Fraser Health is seeking a Coordinator, Integrated Protection Services (IPS) to lead protection and security operations across a large multi-site organization. Based out of Chilliwack (CGH) with responsibility for Fraser Canyon Hospital, you will supervise Relational Security Officers and coordinate with internal leaders.

You will monitor contracted security providers, manage budgets and incident responses, and drive risk reduction strategies while mentoring IPS staff and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Diploma in criminal justice or related discipline; professional training in security, emergency management, health and safety is an asset.
• Minimum five (5) years of related experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory role in security/protection services.
• IAHSS certification within two years of starting the position (asset).
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory duties: directions, scheduling, leave approvals, evaluations, and staff education.
• Manage day-to-day protection and security operations within the assigned IPS portfolio.
• Monitor and evaluate contracted security providers and staff; coordinate services.
• Manage operational expenses and budgeting; ensure proper coding and reporting.
• Serve as primary contact to portfolio leaders on protection activities; coordinate action plans.
• Lead threat assessment investigations; liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead security incident management and Code response protocols; improve incident responses.
• Maintain detailed documentation, records and related reports.
• Provide after-hours on-call support; may work scheduled after-hours shifts.
