Job summary

Fraser Health in Surrey, BC, is seeking an experienced Full Time Information Security Architect to lead incident response, security architecture, and policy development. The role focuses on designing controls, validating defenses, and coordinating tabletop exercises to strengthen resilience across FH’s information systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with FH leadership to advance the information security program, provide expert guidance, and support enterprise-wide security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with five years of information security experience
• CISSP or related certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of information security principles, frameworks and standards

Responsibilities

• Develops, assesses, implements and manages information security policies, procedures and processes; prepares reports and briefings for stakeholders
• Designs, implements and maintains enterprise security solutions and access controls
• Collaborates with IM/IT teams to lead security architecture across applications and programs
• Develops specifications for information security systems for local and wide area networks
• Investigates information security incidents and provides guidance on mitigation and disciplinary processes
• Offers expert technical advice on security changes and system development to internal and external stakeholders
• Promotes information security education and training across FH
• Participates in risk assessments and vulnerability management
• Analyzes complex information to manage incidents and draft action plans
• Develops security solutions aligned with FH standards and industry best practices
• Acts as project leader on security-related initiatives with plans and milestones
• Sets annual goals in collaboration with the Director to align with department objectives
• Keeps current on global security trends and regulatory changes
