Job summary

Lyft is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to help scale millions of Swift lines and support a hybrid in-office/remote work model in Toronto. You will contribute to backend and frontend architecture, drive high-quality Swift UI development, and participate in hiring and knowledge-sharing activities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with designers and product managers, rigorous code reviews, and a culture of rapid releases across a vast app used by millions.

Qualifications

Proficient in Swift with strong testing practices.
Experience collaborating with designers and product managers.
Bonus: open-source contributions and SwiftUI/reactive programming.

Responsibilities

Help establish roadmap and architecture based on technology and needs.
Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge.
Share knowledge via brown bags, tech talks, and promote engineering best practices.
Perform thoughtful code reviews for colleagues and mentor juniors.
Participate in hiring: interviews, live coding, provide feedback.
