Job summary

McGill University seeks an Invigilator to support mid-term examinations at the Montreal campus. You will set up examination rooms, deliver exams, and maintain documentation according to procedures.

Candidates must be enrolled as a graduate student at McGill and able to work in Quebec; confidentiality and punctuality are essential. Prior invigilating experience is an asset.

Position Summary:

• Responsible for setting up the examination rooms for mid-term exams according to specific requirements.
• Administers the delivery of the exams and documentation.
• Ensures that students comply with regulations with respect to exams.
• Alerts professor when students have a question or a concern, if arises.
• At the end of the examination, period, collects all exam materials and ensures nothing is left behind in the examination room(s).
• Responsible for reporting back to the professor and ensure delivery of the exams.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:

• Understanding and commitment to maintaining appropriate standards of confidentiality and security of materials.
• Adhering to McGill University policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently; Dependability, reliability, punctuality.

Education/Experience:

• Invigilating experience an asset.
• Must be enrolled as a Graduate Student, McGill University.
• An Employee that holds more than one position at the University must inform their Supervisor in writing, on the application form or during the course of the Employee’s appointment, of any other assignments presently held at the University.
