The Investor Protection Program at the Faculty of Law (the “Program”) provides public legal education to members of vulnerable communities who are at risk of suffering harm, or may have suffered harm, relating to their investments. Additionally, the Program collaborates with institutional regulators, consumer advocacy groups, and other community partners to provide research support relating to investor issues.
Informed by the needs of vulnerable Canadian communities, the Program engages in a broad range of activities to educate the community and promote investor protection and rights. We focus on helping the elderly, newcomers to Canada, young people, and others who may not have access to legal representation.
Under the general direction of the Director, Future of Law Lab and Investor Protection Program, the Investor Protection Program Manager provides project management, stakeholder management, and administrative leadership for the Program. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing project designs, project implementation, communication plans, workflow management, and all other aspects of managing Program activities.
