Job description

BCHCI is a private family office with a long and rich history of investing in both public and private markets . We take pride in deploying long-term capital into companies solving meaningful problems both at home and abroad. We are currently seeking a full-time Investment Analyst to work with an adaptable, dynamic, and entrepreneurial investment team that values discretion and professionalism.

This is a rare opportunity for a self-motivated, proactive, and intellectually curious individual to gain direct access to the inner workings of a sophisticated family office and play a key role in deploying long-term capital. Our ideal candidate combines strong analytical acumen with a passion for private markets, venture capital, and strategic investing across sectors.

The successful candidate will have direct exposure to decision-makers and contribute meaningfully to both portfolio construction and company building.

Role & Responsibilities

The Analyst will operate across the full investment lifecycle—from sourcing and diligence to execution and active portfolio support—with a particular focus on the following:

  • Conducting deep financial analysis and valuation work across private companies, sectors, and macro trends.
  • Owning elements of due diligence processes - including drafting investment memoranda, managing data rooms, engaging with external advisors, and supporting negotiations.
  • Contributing to strategic assessments of target sectors and companies; developing conviction in emerging investment themes.
  • Supporting portfolio management efforts - including performance tracking, benchmarking, re-underwriting positions, and developing board-level materials.
  • Attending board and management meetings as required, providing critical insights and initiatives.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, consultants, and operators.
  • Building internal tools, models, and dashboards to strengthen investment monitoring and decision support.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of early and growth-stage investment opportunities.

Qualifications & Profile

We are looking for a combination of intellectual horsepower, humility, and hustle. The successful candidate will be as comfortable diving into spreadsheets as they are thinking strategically about markets and human behaviour.

  • Undergraduate degree with top-tier academic performance in Finance, Commerce, Engineering, Math, Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of relevant professional experience (excluding intern experience) in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or a STEM-related field with exposure to financial analysis and strategic problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to build robust financial models, including cap tables, LBOs, and operating forecasts.
  • Strong commercial instincts and the ability to connect data, trends, and people into actionable investment ideas.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - ability to synthesize and present complex ideas with clarity.
  • Utmost integrity and discretion.
  • Innate curiosity, independent thinking, and highly action oriented.
  • Self-sufficient and resourceful - ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to travel internationally on short notice is a must.

What We Offer

An exceptional opportunity to join a small, focused investment team deploying long-term capital in companies solving meaningful problems at global scale.

  • Annual professional development budget and direct mentorship from principals
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits
  • Paid Time Off, including vacation, personal leave, and parental leave
  • Hybrid work environment based in Montreal

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid long-term Canadian work permit
  • Valid passport for international travel
  • Proficient in English (additional languages are an asset)

Type/Duration: Full-Time / Permanent
