Placements24 is seeking an Investment Analyst to join a fully remote Canadian-based team. You will perform investment research, build financial models, and develop recommendations for the investment committee.

Collaborate with portfolio managers, monitor macro trends, and ensure regulatory compliance from a remote setting. The role emphasizes rigorous financial analysis, data interpretation, and effective communication of investment ideas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related quantitative field.
• Progress towards CFA designation preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in investment analysis, equity research, or related financial role.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies (DCF, multiples), and portfolio theory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Experience with financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate investment ideas.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
