This role supports the Investment Advisor (IA) in growing the business by identifying and cultivating new client opportunities, with a strong focus on developing relationships within CIBC’s retail banking network to uncover potential Wood Gundy clients. As a licensed Investment Representative (IR), the role uses investment knowledge and client discovery skills to help align financial solutions with clients’ risk/reward profiles, as determined by the IA. The role includes client servicing responsibilities but primarily focuses on business development, marketing initiatives, and building internal and external referral networks. Success requires networking skills, a proactive relationship-building approach, professionalism, regulatory awareness, and a commitment to client success—contributing to the growth and performance of the advisory team.

What you’ll be doing

As a member of CIBC Wood Gundy, you will be responsible for building and growing client portfolios through relationship management, investment advice, and client service. You will work closely with Investment Advisors to manage portfolios and develop new business, engaging with high-net-worth clients to support, identify opportunities, and enhance their experience.

Note: The role requires on-site full-time work Monday to Friday.

Who you are

  • Certification: Willing to complete Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct & Practice Handbook (CPH), and obtain IR license within 4 months. Industry experience required.
