Job Description
The Inventory Coordinator works in a construction supply warehouse as part of a small, collaborative team. This role oversees daily inventory operations, including cycle counts, inventory management, and documentation for shipping and receiving. The position relies heavily on computer-based work using warehouse management systems and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse inventory activities in coordination with the inventory lead as part of a two-person team.
Perform regular cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and promptly resolve discrepancies.
Manage daily inventory records, ensuring all items are accurately tracked in the warehouse management system.
Review, process, and maintain shipping and receiving documents to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS), including SX.e or similar platforms, to update inventory transactions and track material movement.
Operate RF scanners to scan, track, and verify inventory items and locations.
Label products, shelves, and storage locations accurately to support efficient material handling and retrieval.
Perform material handling tasks, including picking, staging, and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
Use Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel, to communicate, track data, and generate reports related to inventory and shipments.
Enter data accurately and efficiently into computer systems to maintain up-to-date inventory records.
Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring correct quantities, proper documentation, and timely processing.
Operate forklifts (Reach and Sitdown), to move, load, and unload materials safely.
Support program and inventory control procedures to ensure compliance with internal processes and customer requirements.
Provide customer service support related to inventory availability, order status, and shipment details as needed.
Follow established warehouse safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Essential Skills
At least 2 years of warehouse inventory experience.
Proficiency in inventory control and inventory management processes.
Experience performing cycle counts and resolving inventory discrepancies.
Hands-on experience with warehouse inventory operations, including shipping and receiving.
Ability to use warehouse management systems (WMS), ideally SX.e or a similar platform.
Forklift Experience- Reach and Sit-down Counterbalance Forklifts
Proficiency with RF scanners for inventory tracking and verification.
Strong computer skills with a focus on accurate and efficient data entry.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
Experience in material handling, including picking and organizing inventory.
Ability to operate forklifts, specifically sit-down and reach trucks.
Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures and documentation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all inventory-related tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems for inventory and logistics.
Experience in supply chain or warehouse operations within a construction supply or similar environment.
Program control experience related to managing and maintaining inventory processes.
Customer service experience supporting internal or external stakeholders in a warehouse setting.
Comfort working with labeling, RF scanning, and other warehouse technologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to work effectively in a small team, coordinating closely with an inventory lead.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits
