JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The Inventory Coordinator in Leduc, Alberta will report to the General Manager and be responsible for the directing and coordination of warehouse activities. This includes receiving, pick lists and monitoring the organization of jobs in progress.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Warehouse Duties:

  • Daily warehouse operations to ensure all orders are processed efficiently, accurately and delivered on time to meet customer needs
  • Receiving shipments to ensure stock is verified, put away, and received efficiently and accurately
  • Plan and coordinate shipping and receiving with freight broker to maximize the use of warehouse staff and equipment
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by implementing and monitoring a Cycle Count system to count all locations twice/year
  • Monitor stock levels to assist in purchasing and inventory planning
  • Work with freight companies to compare and find best rates
  • Monitor and compare packaging vendors to ensure lowest costs possible


HSE Responsibilities (Shared Duties with General Manager):

  • Develop and place priority on a safety-first attitude within the warehouse and office
  • Develop policies to improve general safety (signage, monthly emergency light/extinguisher level, warehouse tape, pedestrian policy, PPE)
  • Ensure warehouse staff forklift certifications are current and present on-site
  • Implement safety program to report incidents and promote general safety awareness
  • Work with regional and corporate NOV safety staff to ensure our facility meets and exceeds standards
  • Ensure forklifts undergo a daily inspection and are serviced at regular intervals
  • Complete monthly warehouse safety checklist


Customs/Compliance:

  • To ensure import documents and policies are met for any imported shipments into Canada (Houston or other vendors)
  • To track and coordinate duty refunds from CBSA


Qualification Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience with warehousing and industrial equipment is required
  • Good Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • A valid forklift operator's certification is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with shipping and receiving processes is required
  • Customs regulations certification or experience is an asset
  • HSE knowledge and experience and asset


Technical Requirements:

  • JDE experience and knowledge are required
  • Microsoft Office application knowledge is essential


HSE Requirements:

  • Shop environment, warehouse and working indoors/outdoors. Possibility to be exposed to dust, fumes, or gases and changes of temperature and/or humidity.
  • Possible physical requirements will include but not be limited to squatting, bending, lifting, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, reaching, twisting, crawling, climbing, ladder work and working near moving equipment.
  • Required to wear personal protection equipment including but not limited to steel toe boots, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection.


The hourly rate for this role is $20 - $21 per hour.
