Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Inventory Controller to manage multi-site inventory reconciliations and valuations within US GAAP/SOX. CPA designation and SAP ERP proficiency are required, with manufacturing experience to support robust internal controls.

You will lead standard costing, month-end close activities, and variance analysis while partnering with finance and operations to improve processes across the footprint.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory reconciliations, physical counts, GL and sub-ledgers.
• Drive standard costing and inventory revaluation processes.
• Maintain internal controls and support audits (SOX/US GAAP).
• Create centralized inventory documentation repository.
• Serve as finance SME for SAP inventory processes.
• Refine tracking, valuation methods, and stock management.
• Analyze inventory variances and provide actionable insights.
• Partner with manufacturing and network teams on process improvements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Inventory Controller manages and oversees multi-site inventory reconciliations and valuations to ensure accurate financial reporting and valuation within a SOX / USGAAP framework. Positioned within the finance team, this role requires a CPA designation, manufacturing industry expertise, and SAP / ERP capabilities to maintain robust internal controls and drive process improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Financial Oversight & Reconciliation: Lead and manage inventory reconciliations, physical stock counts, general ledger, and sub-ledgers.
• Standard Costing & Revaluation: Drive the periodic standard costing process and inventory revaluation routines to maintain accurate product costing.
• Internal Controls & Audit Compliance: Maintain robust internal controls over inventory, lead month-end closing activities, conduct balance sheet reviews, and support internal/external audit requirements.
• Documentation Management: Create and manage a centralized repository for inventory-related documentation (drone surveys, scale calibrations, monthly reconciliations).
• Systems Expertise (SAP): Serve as the finance subject matter expert for inventory-related SAP processes.
• Process Improvement: Continuously refine inventory tracking, valuation methodologies and stock management procedures across the manufacturing and network footprint.
• Variance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze, report, and provide actionable insights on inventory variances.
• Industry & System Requirements: Experience in a manufacturing environment along with advanced SAP skills and strong business partnering capabilities.
