Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Inventory Controller to manage multi-site inventory reconciliations and valuations under US GAAP/SOX within the finance team. The role requires a CPA designation, manufacturing experience, and strong SAP/ERP capabilities to uphold internal controls and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities include overseeing reconciliations, standard costing, var analysis, and reporting, with a focus on accuracy and cross-site collaboration. Travel up to 10% is expected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Inventory Controller manages and oversees multi-site inventory reconciliations and valuations to ensure accurate financial reporting and valuation within a SOX / USGAAP framework. Positioned within the finance team, this role requires a CPA designation, manufacturing industry expertise, and SAP / ERP capabilities to maintain robust internal controls and drive process improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Financial Oversight & Reconciliation: Lead and manage inventory reconciliations, physical stock counts, general ledger, and sub-ledgers.
• Standard Costing & Revaluation: Drive the periodic standard costing process and inventory revaluation routines to maintain accurate product costing.
• Internal Controls & Audit Compliance: Maintain robust internal controls over inventory, lead month-end closing activities, conduct balance sheet reviews, and support internal/external audit requirements.
• Documentation Management: Create and manage a centralized repository for inventory-related documentation (drone surveys, scale calibrations, monthly reconciliations).
• Systems Expertise (SAP): Serve as the finance subject matter expert for inventory-related SAP processes.
• Process Improvement: Continuously refine inventory tracking, valuation methodologies and stock management procedures across the manufacturing and network footprint.
• Variance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze, report, and provide actionable insights on inventory variances.
• Industry & System Requirements: Experience in a manufacturing environment along with advanced SAP skills and strong business partnering capabilities.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment along with advanced SAP skills and strong business partnering capabilities.
• Strong ability to influence with and without authority.
