Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory reconciliations, physical counts, and GL/sub-ledger valuations.
• Drive standard costing and inventory revaluation processes.
• Maintain robust internal controls to support SOX/US GAAP reporting.
• Create and manage centralized inventory documentation including audits and surveys.
• Act as finance SME for SAP processes and ERP systems.
• Identify and implement process improvements across manufacturing footprint.
• Analyze variances and provide actionable reporting to management.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and commercial teams on financial controls.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Inventory Controller manages and oversees multi-site inventory reconciliations and valuations to ensure accurate financial reporting and valuation within a SOX / USGAAP framework. Positioned within the finance team, this role requires a CPA designation, manufacturing industry expertise, and SAP / ERP capabilities to maintain robust internal controls and drive process improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Financial Oversight & Reconciliation: Lead and manage inventory reconciliations, physical stock counts, general ledger, and sub-ledgers.
• Standard Costing & Revaluation: Drive the periodic standard costing process and inventory revaluation routines to maintain accurate product costing.
• Internal Controls & Audit Compliance: Maintain robust internal controls over inventory, lead month-end closing activities, conduct balance sheet reviews, and support internal/external audit requirements.
• Documentation Management: Create and manage a centralized repository for inventory-related documentation (drone surveys, scale calibrations, monthly reconciliations).
• Systems Expertise (SAP): Serve as the finance subject matter expert for inventory-related SAP processes.
• Process Improvement: Continuously refine inventory tracking, valuation methodologies and stock management procedures across the manufacturing and network footprint.
• Variance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze, report, and provide actionable insights on inventory variances.
• Industry & System Requirements: Experience in a manufacturing environment along with advanced SAP skills and strong business partnering capabilities.

Professional accounting designation required (CPA)

3+ years of financial management experience with increasing responsibility and complex roles

• US GAAP / SOX experience required
• Experience in a manufacturing environment along with advanced SAP skills and strong business partnering capabilities.
• Strong ability to influence with and without authority.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
