Job summary

Rexel Canada is seeking an Inventory Control / Quality Assurance Specialist in Delta, BC. The role ensures inventory integrity and quality across the warehouse, reporting to the Regional DC Administration Manager.

You will perform cycle counts, QA checks, and collaborate with warehouse staff to maintain accuracy and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates bring hands-on WMS experience, strong analytical skills, and a meticulous approach to inventory and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control within a distribution centre or warehouse.
• Hands-on use of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory management.
• Strong cycle counting, reconciliation and root-cause analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, audits, reconciliations and root-cause analysis.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Use the WMS to monitor inventory movements, transactions, adjustments, locations and stock status.
• Conduct quality checks on inbound, stored, picked, packed and outbound products to ensure accuracy.
• Review shipping, receiving, returns and damage processes for improvements.
• Support inventory-related reporting including variance analysis and KPIs.
• Partner with warehouse supervisors and team members to resolve issues promptly.
• Assist with maintaining warehouse location accuracy, slotting, labelling and organization.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, productivity, safety and quality.
• Follow Rexel policies, health and safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

We are currently looking for anInventory Control / Quality Assurance Specialistat ourDelta, BCbranch.The Inventory Control / QA Specialist reporting to the Regional DC Administration Manager will be responsible for inventory integrity and quality assurance activities throughout the warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, and root-cause analysis.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to monitor inventory movements, transactions, adjustments, locations, and stock status.
• Conduct quality checks on inbound, stored, picked, packed, and outbound products to ensure accuracy and compliance with Rexel standards.
• Review shipping, receiving, returns, and damage processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support inventory-related reporting, including variance analysis, inventory accuracy metrics, and operational KPIs.
• Partner with warehouse supervisors, receivers, pickers, and other team members to resolve inventory and quality issues promptly.
• Assist with maintaining warehouse location accuracy, slotting, product labelling, and inventory organization.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, productivity, safety, and quality.
• Follow all Rexel policies, health and safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control within a distribution centre, warehouse, or logistics environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory management, transactions, counts, and discrepancy resolution.
• Strong understanding of cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, stock adjustments, and root-cause investigation.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site warehouse environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WMS (Tecsys) is considered an asset.
• Previous quality assurance, process improvement, or warehouse audit experience.
• Experience in electrical distribution, industrial supply, or a high-volume distribution environment.
• Experience with MHE operation, to facilitate cycle count.
• Familiarity with Lean, continuous improvement, or inventory quality metrics.

Additional Information

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is CAD 60000- 75000. Final compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include variable pay or other components of Rexel’s total rewards package.
