Job summary

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Completion of a recognized high acuity specialty nursing certificate and one year of recent related high acuity experience or equivalent.
• Current CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized nursing care before and after interventional procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Assists physicians during examinations in pre- and post-imaging areas, facilitates procedural sedation and airway management.
• Anticipates and responds to unexpected critical situations during/after procedures.
• Organizes priorities and assesses discharge readiness.
• Collaborates with peers and other caregivers to resolve patient care issues and advocate for patient autonomy.
• Maintains complete patient records and uses safe, cost-effective supplies.
