Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Mississauga offers a mechanical design internship. Under group leader supervision, you will create or revise 2D/3D drawings and support design, analytical and manufacturing teams.

The role focuses on defining product modules for Turbine, Mechanical, Compressors, and External Components, with on-site work during January–April 2027. You must be enrolled in a Canadian college or university and eligible to work in Canada.

Internship dates : January 5th to April 23rd, 2027

Location: The position is based at our Mississauga location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Under Group Leader supervision, the trainee will be asked to create or revise detail and assembly drawings in 2D or 3D.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Work in collaboration with the Design, Analytical and Manufacturing departments

  • Define the final product for Turbine, Mechanical, Compressors, Combustion and External Components modules

  • Support engine production in the Product Center Engineering Component Modules.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Be eligible to work in Canada;

  • Be enrolled in a Canadian college or university throughout your internship;

  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired

  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant field - Mechanical Design and Drafting, Mechanical Aerospace Engineering Technology.

  • Have knowledge of CATIA V5 (or similar CAD software);

  • Be developing his ability to define parts in 2D and 3D;

  • Be developing his applied mathematical skills (esp. for tolerance stack-up calculations);

  • Be industrious, self-motivated;

  • Be methodical;

  • Enjoy working in a team-based environment;

The salary range for this role is 22.20 cad - 31.80 cad. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
