Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to engine/aircraft requirements integration regarding operability aspects.
  • Establish test procedures for engine testing in the test cell and on the aircraft.
  • Support testing, review and interpretation of test data, and generate corrective actions if applicable.
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations.
  • Provide technical support to operations and aftermarket sectors to ensure smooth product transitions and issue resolutions.
  • Ensure documentation and traceability of analyses and results.
  • Collaborate with disciplines to improve operability group methods, tools, and processes.

In the Operability Group, the analysts will oversee various aspects of engine operability such as starting, acceleration and deceleration (handling), transient simulation, aircraft interfaces, as well as operability specifications for electronic and hydromechanics control systems. Our responsibilities span from pre detail design to field support.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Contribute to the engine / aircraft requirements integration definition regarding operability aspects and to engine sub-system definition like the controls system or the accessories.
  • Establish test procedures to be performed on engine (in the test cell and on the aircraft).
  • Support the testing, review and interpret test data, provide recommendations, approbations or generate the corrective actions if applicable.
  • Analyze the test results and provide recommendations as applicable.
  • Provide technical support to P&W’s support to operations sector to ensure smooth transition of new products into production as well as support re-sourcing activities of parts impacting engine operability.
  • Provide technical support to P&W’s aftermarket sector to resolve field issues.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and traceability of relevant analysis and results.
  • Work with the disciplines to establish appropriate best practices and analysis procedures; actively assists in the continuous improvement of the Operability Group’ methods, tools, and processes.

The salary range for this role is 23.70 to 34.50 CAD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
