Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada is offering an on-site Winter 2027 internship in Model-based Definition (MBD) CAD at Mississauga. The role focuses on supporting MBD/CAD updates, documentation, and validation processes within an aerospace context.

You will work on CATIA-driven CAD methodologies, document new procedures, and assist with CATIA trainings and material updates. The program runs Jan 5–Apr 23, 2027, with Monday–Friday on-site work and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Canadian university.
• Engineering or Operations background or interest.
• Experience in 3D modeling is mandatory; CATIA V5 is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Review and update existing CAD methodologies using CATIA and CAx tools.
• Research and document new processes and procedures.
• Facilitate CATIA trainings organization and update training material.
• Data exchange audit and improve transfer logs.

Our expectations:

Support P&WC to stay top-of-the-art in its Model-based Definition (MBD) / Computer-aided Design (CAD) practices, by supporting the update and implementation of MBD, current CAD methods and documentation, and validation process.

What your day will look like?

The intern will be presented with numerous challenges and stimulations while developing project management competencies as well as analysis and communicating:

• Review & Update existing CAD methodologies using CATIA and various other CAx tools.
• Research & Document new process and procedures.
• Facilitate organization of the CATIA trainings.
• Review & Update training material.
• Data Exchange audit - New eyes on transfer log.
• Other CAD/Collaboration assistance as requested.

What do you need to be successful?

• Be eligible to work in Canada.
• Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
• Engineering, or Operations background or interest.
• Experience in 3D modeling is mandatory. CATIA V5 (or similar software) is a strong asset.
• Understanding of MBD/PLM is an asset.
• Must be resourceful with good analytical thinking and a team player.

The salary range for this role is 19,80 cad - 32,90 cad. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
