Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technology, CNC, or Precision Machining student for an onsite internship at the Halifax Plant. You will gain hands-on experience on production lines, learn CNC processes, tooling, and precision measurement techniques.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Technology, CNC, or Precision Machining program.
• Final year of program completion is required.

Responsibilities

• Support production lines with hands-on machining tasks and learn varied machining processes including CNC, tooling, and CMM.
• Assist in interpreting blueprints and following manufacturing instructions.
• Engage in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and CORE improvement activities to gain practical industry experience.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technology, CNC, or Precision Machining Student to gain hands on practical experience, while working to support our various production lines. Key Responsibilities:

• Working with and learning various machining processes including, CNC Machining, Tooling, CMM and more.
• Learn of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience CORE events and working with our continuous improvement programs (CORE, 6S, etc.).
• Develop specialized manufacturing skills & gain best industry practice experience in advanced manufacturing (Industry 4.0).
• Gain hands on experience assisting professionals with special manufacturing facility projects.
• Learning to read and interpret blueprints associated with machining operations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be actively enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Technology, CNC, or Precision Machining Program.
• Must be in your final year of your program.
