Job summary

Sea to Sky School District No.48 in British Columbia seeks an International Education Homestay Coordinator for the North region. This on-site, full-time role supports Indigenous education initiatives and student programs across Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton.

You will recruit homestay families, coordinate placements, maintain records, prepare reports, and assist with student activities while collaborating with schools and international agents. A BC driver's license is required.

• Strong administrative and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit Homestay Families: advertise, facilitate applications, conduct site inspections, organize orientation/networking meetings.
• Process Student Homestay Placements: maintain records, assign students to homestays, monitor placements.
• Maintain program homestay files, carry out administrative duties and oversee student transportation.
• Assist with development of homestay materials and resources, and prepare reports.
• Organize student program activities and excursions; support for students with schools and staff.
• Work with a portfolio of students and homestays; assist North homestay coordinators and district-wide admin functions.
• Manage all medical files and procedures for student injuries.
• Maintain homestay database and professional learning plan.
• Rotate duties for weekend/holiday emergency calls; communicate with families and agents as issues arise.
