Job summary

Pomerleau, a national leader in construction, is offering a Technical Intern role to support major projects across Canada. You will gather technical information, help prepare site logistics, and assist with construction phasing under a project team.

We seek a student enrolled in Civil Engineering or Construction fields; teamwork and an interest in construction methods are valued. Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM tools like Revit or Civil 3D is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience through projects or internship is an asset, but not required.
• Strong teamwork and interest in construction methods.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit or Civil 3D is an asset.
• Basic understanding of technical English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Participate in gathering technical information for development of construction methods.
• Assist in site logistics and temporary facilities planning under guidance of project team.
• Support development of construction phasing plans, including temporary works and equipment needs.
• Conduct technical research to identify temporary works solutions meeting project needs.
• Contribute to preparation of simple specifications and technical documentation with project coordinators.
• Prepare sketches and preliminary drawings to support designers and engineers.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency across project documentation.

• Be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Reside in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Be duly enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or have graduated from such an institution within no more than six (6) months prior to the internship start date.
