Job summary

Bombardier in Mississauga, Ontario offers an internship focused on data analysis and optimization within aerospace manufacturing. You will contribute to developing additive manufacturing solutions for AOG situations, analyzing data to identify repeat issues, and supporting daily and project-based problem solving on the production line.

You will also help realize the Industrialization and Planning team's vision while learning through multi-disciplinary workshops and real projects.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in Engineering degree with focus on data analysis & optimization.
  • Industrial Engineering experience preferred
  • Experience with manufacturing environment and aircraft assembly
  • Speak and write in English

What are your contributions to the team?

During your internship, you will contribute to:

  • The development of additive manufacturing solutions for AOG situations
  • Data analysis to identify and solve repeat problems/ issues
  • Supporting Operations in solving and managing problems on the production line (daily or through projects)
  • Support in realizing the vision of the Industrialization and planning team

During your internship, you will learn:

  • Continuous improvement processes (5S, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Develop problem solving skills, adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary workshops and project reviews.
  • Better understanding of aerospace manufacturing
How to thrive in this role?

What we are looking for:

  • Enrolled in Engineering degree with focus on data analysis & optimization
  • Industrial Engineering experience preferred
  • Experience in managing projects would be an asset
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment and aircraft assembly
  • Ability to utilize various coding languages to support analytics (Python, Java, VBA, SQL, etc.)
  • Possess strong communication/ presentation skills, & the ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience with MS Office, Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding and ability to work with PowerBI (front and backend) would be an asset
  • Speak and write in English

  • Duration: 12 months Preferred (or 8 months minimum)
  • On Site ONLY

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $17.95 to CAD $31.00 per hour. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
