Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH offers an internship in Mississauga for students in 3rd or 4th year of an Engineering program. You will build full‑stack web apps and internal tools using React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS to support smart factory initiatives.

You will develop backend automation with Python and SQL to enable real-time shop-floor insights, and contribute to strategic digital transformation related to Bombardier aircraft programs.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate university program in an Engineering discipline.
  • Strong programming foundations in Python, SQL, React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Git.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and modern productivity tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy full-stack web applications and internal tools using React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for smart factory initiatives.
  • Engineer backend automation scripts and data integration pipelines with Python and SQL to drive real-time insights on the shop floor.
  • Build internal applications and management tools to streamline cross-functional team communications.
  • Assist with strategic software and digital transformation initiatives for Bombardier programs such as Global 8000 and 55/6500.
  • Explore research on emerging software architectures and AI applications for manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare governance materials, technical documentation, and project updates for senior management review.

Boarding Information:

  • Location: Global 7500/8000
  • Duration: 12months

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $17.95 to CAD $31.00 per hour. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
