Job summary

Bombardier invites interns to contribute to governance of major site projects in the Methods department and support audits and process improvements across operations.

You will help define new tools and business cases for deployment, manage department budgets and headcount, and produce governance metrics for executive visibility as part of Bombardier Operational Excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

• During your internship, you will learn how to use business management software (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SQL, VBI, etc.).
• You will learn how to present ideas to multiple areas of the business (Production, Management, Internal Team, etc.).
• Understand what is required to implement and execute projects across an aerospace manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the governance in major site projects relating to the Methods department.
• Support the audit and development of Methods and Operational processes.
• Support the definition and development of new tools and associated business cases for deployment to business.
• Manage and maintain Department Budget, Headcount, overhead cost, and operating expenses
• Produce metrics and governance visibility related to Adherence to Budget/Forecast Governance to the management team
• Actively support the Bombardier Operational Excellence (BOE) departmental objectives.

During your internship, you will contribute to…

• Learn about the functionality and manufacturing of the Global 8000, 6500 & 5500 aircraft
• Understand the requirements of an Aircraft manufacturing facility
• Understand what is required to implement and execute projects across an aerospace manufacturing site
• Key actions to an aerospace manufacturing facility transition with our move to Pearson

• Duration: 12months

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
