Job summary

Bombardier is offering an internship opportunity at the Marcel-Laurin Plant 1 in Ville Saint-Laurent, Canada. You will work onsite on day shifts, with hybrid options, for a 12-month duration, supporting data analytics, process optimization, and laboratory operations.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a relevant degree and have knowledge of Power BI, SharePoint, and MS Office. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team and gain exposure to LIMS and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing a university or college degree in Materials, Chemical, Composite, Metallurgical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
• Interest in continuous improvement, process optimization, and digital solutions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Power BI and SharePoint or similar digital collaboration tools.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives across M&P laboratory operations.
• Review, update, and standardize laboratory procedures, work instructions, forms, and documentation.
• Support the development and maintenance of the department's SharePoint site and collaboration tools.
• Assist in the creation of Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and operational reports.
• Support activities related to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Participate in process mapping, workflow optimization, and implementation of best practices.
• Assist with quality system activities, audits, and operational improvement projects.
• Collect, analyze, and present operational data to support decision-making.
• Depending on qualifications and business needs, support laboratory activities in metallurgy, composites and non-metallic materials, mechanical testing, corrosion and coatings, chemistry, and failure analysis.

• Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, VBA, Python, SQL, or similar automation tools.
