Job summary

Bombardier invites a mechanical or aerospace engineering student (preferably 3rd year) to join as an intern at the Dorval Plant. The role involves supporting engineering and operations, performing stress analyses, and contributing to development work in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

The candidate should be able to read and write in English; bilingual ability in French and English is an asset, and extension or longer internship is possible.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or aerospace engineering student, preferably in 3rd year.
• Experience building macros in Excel.
• Familiar with CATIA and FEM software.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering and Operations organizations.
• Perform stress analyses of Static Strength, Fatigue/Durability, Damage Tolerance, and FEM for metallic and composite structures.
• Participate in Engineering development work as required.
• Collaborate with other Engineering functions and Operations teams.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Support the Engineering and Operations organizations;
• Perform various stress analyses of Static Strength, Fatigue/Durability, Damage Tolerance, and Finite Element Model (FEM) for metallic and composite structures;
• Participate when required in Engineering development work;
• Work in close cooperation with other Engineering functions (Liaison, Design, Materials & Processes, Weights, Project, Systems, Program, etc.) and Operations (Methods, Quality, and Production).

What we are looking for

• You are a mechanical / aerospace engineering student, preferably in 3rd year.
• You have Programming knowledge, specially building macros in excel.
• You are familiar with CATIA and FEM softwares
• You are a self-motivated person and a team player.
• You can read and write in English and have good communication skills. Being completely bilingual (French and English) is an asset
• You are available for extension or a longer internship if required
