Job summary

WSP Edmonton is seeking an Intern, Electrical/Electronics Engineering to gain hands-on experience in designing and delivering Integrated Technology Systems within the M&E Technology Team. You will work with experienced professionals on IT, Security, and Audio Visual projects, developing technical skills.

This internship offers exposure to design calculations, drawings, sketches, and reports, plus collaboration in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Electrical or Electronics Engineering program or pursuing a related diploma.
• Working knowledge of Revit/BIM/AutoCAD and design documentation.
• Desire to pursue P.Eng/P.Eng (L) or equivalent designation.
• Ability to identify technical challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Experience collaborating in virtual and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Initiative, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support review and development of Building Technology Systems designs and drawings (IT, security, AV).

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Electrical or Electronics Engineering program, or pursuing a Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology.
• Working knowledge of Revit/BIM/AutoCAD.
• Desire to work toward P.Eng/P.Eng (L) or equivalent designation.
• Ability to identify technical challenges and opportunities and develop practical solutions.
• Experience working effectively within virtual and multidisciplinary team environments.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
• Driver’s License (Class 5) and access to a vehicle with insurance is preferred.

Compensation

• BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $24.80 – $32.65 per hour
• MB & ON: $23.20 – $30.55 per hour
• Atlantic Provinces & QC: $22.20 – $30.55 per hour

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
