Job summary

WTW is seeking a Pension Outsourcing Analyst in Canada to join our retirement consulting team. You will perform routine pension administration tasks under supervision, support defined benefit plans, and coordinate with actuaries and plan administrators to deliver accurate client service.

Hybrid role based in Toronto, requiring bilingual French and English, and you will engage with human resources and clients to resolve issues, maintain data integrity, and contribute to special projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or other quantitative field.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities with a high academic record.
  • Relevant work experience or internship demonstrating technical or client service skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and recurring plan administration tasks for defined benefit plans under supervision.
  • Collaborate with plan administrators and actuaries to ensure accurate service delivery.
  • Understand plan design and eligibility to support client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation; assist with special projects as needed.
  • Interact with client HR personnel and respond to questions or issues.

We combine expertise in retirement and investment consulting to support organizations worldwide in designing, managing, administering, and communicating all types of retirement plans.

The Role

As a Pension Outsourcing Analyst, you will contribute as part of a team to provide general administration support and pension administration tasks. You will perform recurring plan administration services and work assignments for clients’ defined benefit plans under the supervision of senior analysts and work with the client service delivery team as well as interface with clients to answer questions, resolve issues and complete projects.

  • Perform with guidance from other team members, routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients’ defined benefit plans (e.g., benefit calculations, annual data updates, preparation of pension benefits statements)
  • Work cooperatively with other team members (WTW plan administrators, actuaries) to complete tasks and to ensure unified delivery of services
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the plan design (e.g., benefit formulas, options, eligibility)
  • Follow and update documentation materials as directed to maintain complete accurate work papers and audit trails
  • Learn and use Professional Excellence tools and concepts to ensure efficient and quality output/service delivery
  • Serve as a contact with clients’ human resources personnel
  • Adhere to plan documents and government regulations in administering plans
  • Actively participate in team meetings and training activities
  • Be accountable to team members for agreements and commitments
  • Maintain complete and accurate case notes
  • Complete special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance or any other major with significant quantitative course work, with a strong academic record
  • Solid mathematical and analytical skills
  • Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills
  • Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Completed Summer 2026 Pension Outsourcing internship with WTW
Work Arrangement & Language

This role follows a hybrid work arrangement with an expectation of working in the office three (3) days per week.

WTW serves a clientele with a national and international presence and must be able to offer services in French and English at all times. This position requires bilingualism, as the intern will need to provide services related to various communications exclusively in French, in addition to interacting with multiple stakeholders in Canada who speak only French.

Compensation

The base salary compensation being offered for this role is $62,000 CAD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
