Job summary

DIALOG seeks a skilled structural/ building designer to contribute to mixed-use projects in Vancouver. You will work with architects, engineers and designers to deliver integrated, sustainable design solutions and accurate engineering drawings.

Applicants should have a Diploma in Civil or Architectural Technology and 5+ years of structural modelling experience. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Office is required, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology.
• At least 5 years of structural modelling experience on mixed-use, healthcare, institutional or related buildings.
• Knowledge of building codes is an asset.
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality Revit models and engineering drawings for timber, steel, masonry and concrete buildings.
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, mechanical and electrical engineers to create integrated, sustainable design solutions.
• Attend site reviews and inspections, and review contractor work to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications.
• Prepare documents required for approvals, and construction cost estimates, tenders, and contracts.
• Provide design support to engineers, architects, and other technologists.
• Work with team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved.
