Your Opportunity

Our Power team in Fredericton, NB, is seeking a Structural Engineering Technologist. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual eager to challenge their abilities in a dynamic environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks using knowledge of tools and drafting, including design changes, site layouts, dimension control plans, redlining, plotting, and drafting.
• Perform preliminary engineering calculations and develop initial designs.
• Revise drawings, copy existing drawings, and complete simple calculations.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers and Managers on planning, design, CAD drafting, and preparation of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• May perform field surveys for drawing development, site reviews, and record drawings.
• Communicate effectively with team members and adhere to Stantec standards.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Understanding of basic 3D software and CAD standards.
• Knowledge of software programs including AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Navisworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Developing cooperative skills for efficient teamwork.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt flexibly.
• Valid driver’s license.

Education and Experience

• Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.

This position primarily involves office work but may include some field work.
