Job summary

TBT Engineering Limited is seeking a senior Structural Engineer to lead and contribute across a range of building projects in Fort Frances. The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentorship of junior staff, and rigorous adherence to professional and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage design and detailing for steel, concrete, timber, and composite systems, and support budgeting and scheduling to ensure efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligibility for licensure.
• 10+ years of experience in structural analysis and design of commercial or institutional buildings.

Responsibilities

Position Description

Lead and contribute to a variety of Structural Engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Apply advanced technical knowledge in the analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems for commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight while guiding junior staff and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Position Responsibilities

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in Structural Engineering for buildings, supported by a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligibility for licensure. The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience in the structural analysis and design of commercial or institutional buildings. Candidates should be proficient with structural design and modeling software and have a thorough understanding of applicable building codes, standards, and industry practices. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential, with proven experience mentoring technical staff and managing multidisciplinary projects.

This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications ($125,840.00 per year +).
