Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering or Architectural Technology from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design of commercial or institutional buildings.
• Proficient with structural design and modeling software; strong knowledge of building codes and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute design for Structural Engineering projects for building structures, including design, analysis, and detailing of steel, concrete, timber, and composite systems.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and construction documentation.
• Conduct structural analysis and assessments to ensure safety, performance, and compliance with applicable building codes and standards.
• Lead coordination with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective project delivery.

Position Description

Contribute to the preparation of structural design projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across diverse engineering divisions in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Apply advanced technical knowledge in the analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems for commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight while guiding junior staff and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Candidates should be proficient with structural design and modeling software and have a thorough understanding of applicable building codes, standards, and industry practices. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential, with proven experience mentoring technical staff and managing multidisciplinary projects.

This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications ($32.47 per hour +).
