Job description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate/Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in a Scrum-based development environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C# and Angular, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. This role requires outstanding communication abilities and a solid foundation in software engineering principles. Candidates must hold a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and be eligible for a Top Secret security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
2. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C# and Angular to meet project requirements.
3. Participate in all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
4. Analyze user requirements, design technical solutions, and implement features that align with business goals.
5. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
6. Address customer tickets, by providing prompt and durable resolutions.
7. Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement.
8. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
9. Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols, especially those required for Top Secret clearance eligibility.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
2. Proven experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET and Angular frameworks.
3. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
5. Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project needs.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration within a team.
7. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience developing in Kubernetes, microservices architecture.
2. Familiarity with docker, helm, ruby.
3. Knowledge of additional front-end or back-end frameworks and best practices.
4. Agile development experience, including the use of automated unit and integration tests.
5. Familiarity with Cypress test frameworks.
6. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git.

How We Work

You will be expected to work in a remote/hybrid environment reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location 2 or more times per week.
