Title: Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Brampton, ON (in-office)

Salary: $80,000-95,000 (Intermediate), $110,000-120,000 (Senior)

Our client is a Canadian-owned and operated engineering consulting firm specialized in geotechnical and environmental consultation and project management. Offering assistance on a variety of projects from construction monitoring, to bridge replacements, and sanitary sewer extensions to public and private entities.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical expertise and support in the project management process.
2. Work closely with clients through the design and construction process, manage the application and permitting process with municipalities.
3. Maintain and cultivate positive business relationships with existing and prospective clients, external bodies, and internal team.
4. Frequent travel to project sites (within Ontario, GTA).
5. Ability to oversee borehole drilling and geotechnical assessments.
6. Conduct design, analysis, and report writing for projects.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

1. Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in an Engineering role.
3. Ability to assist in office management, client interfacing, and business development.
4. Positive attitude, perseverance, grit, and ability to adapt to new sales and business development.
5. Problem-solving skills, handling issues with tact and responsibility internally and externally.
6. Coachability, openness to working with the senior leadership team to improve skills, take advice, and implement new strategies.
7. College or University education mandatory, Bachelor's degree or Diploma mandatory. Master's education is preferred.
8. P.Eng certification through PEO is mandatory, or ability to certify.
9. Experience in projects related to pavement design, tunneling, slope stability, railways, water infrastructure, and land development is highly preferred.
10. Must have a valid license and/or means of transportation to visit project sites.
11. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
