Your Opportunity

We have an immediate opening in our Markham or Mississauga, ON offices for an Intermediate Land Development Engineer to be an integral part of our team. Applicants should be self-motivated, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be eager to learn, and have good general computer skills. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparing preliminary and detailed design drawings related to civil engineering, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control.
  2. Preparing engineering reports on land development constraints/opportunities, functional servicing, stormwater management, and cost estimates for various projects.
  3. Liaising with clients, municipalities, and approval agencies to facilitate project approvals.
  4. Undertaking project coordination tasks, including collaboration with other design disciplines.
  5. Ensuring client needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  6. Assisting with tender preparation and conducting field inspections as needed.
  7. Contributing to proposals, fee estimates, and general project management tasks.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  1. Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
  2. Proficiency in computer skills, including AutoCAD.
  3. Experience with Civil3D, GIS, BIM is considered an asset.
Education and Experience
  1. Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  2. Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  3. At least 3 years of experience in land development projects is preferred.

Note: Typical office environment with computer use and sedentary work, with fieldwork potentially exposed to weather conditions. Responsibilities may change as needed.
