The Opportunity
McElhanney is actively searching for a skilled and driven Intermediate / Senior Environmental Biologist to join our team on Vancouver Island. As an integral part of our environmental team, the selected candidate will have access to support from over 50 experienced environmental professionals with diverse areas of specialization. In this position, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including gathering baseline data, creating environmental protection plans, and conducting Environmental Monitoring for significant multi-disciplinary construction projects. We are looking for an individual who is motivated, experienced, and ready to contribute to our dynamic team.
While the incumbent can be located anywhere on Vancouver Island, preference will be given to candidates who currently live (or are able to relocate to) in Victoria, BC.
This role offers flexibility, with the option for the selected candidate to work 40 hours per week or a reduced work week (minimum 32 hours) based on mutual agreement.

The salary range for this position is$ 85 ,000 to $ 110 ,000per annum . McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
