Responsibilities

• Build strong, day-to-day relationships with crews, supervisors and sub-trades.
• Be present on the floor – observing, engaging and coaching in real time.
• Provide practical safety guidance to supervisors and employees when addressing hazards or changing work conditions.
• Address unsafe acts and conditions directly while reinforcing expectations and gaining employee buy-in.
• Conduct inspections and independently follow identified concerns through to resolution.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, identify contributing factors, and recommend meaningful corrective actions.
• Deliver safety meetings, orientations, and training that are practical, relevant, and engaging.
• Interpret and apply occupational health and safety legislation, company policies and industry requirements.
• Track and analyze safety data to identify recurring risks, emerging trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support internal audits, program reviews, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor corrective actions to ensure they are completed effectively and within established expectations.
