Safety Coordinator
Position Overview

The Safety Coordinator will assist with the implementation of Project HSE Execution Plans and will work closely with Construction Management Teams as the primary safety resource for an assigned area or project.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the implementation of corporate and site-specific Health and Safety procedures in accordance with all pertinent regulations during project execution;
  • Driving a comprehensive and effective contractor safety management program;
  • Assisting with hazard assessment activities (JHA and JSA)
  • Maintaining an active field presence;
  • Actively participating in Client and Contractor safety meetings;
  • Conducting and documenting inspections and focus/management system audits;
  • Conducting, supporting and documenting behavioral HSE observations;
  • Taking an active role in HSE training and competency initiatives;
  • Leading or supporting incident and accident prevention, investigation and analysis;
  • Assisting with the coordination of environmental requirements for the site.
  • Maintaining relevant HSE documentation (electronically).
Education/Experience
  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in oil & Gas construction safety.
