Job summary

Bluestar Engineering Ltd. is a Calgary-based EPCM company specializing in upstream oil and gas projects. We seek an Intermediate Project Engineer to contribute to design basis development, budgeting, and scheduling across multi-disciplinary teams.

The role involves facility planning and design, reviewing vendor data, preparing PFDs/PIDs, and supporting regulatory submissions with AER, AENV, ABSA and OGC as required. A proactive, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of EPCM experience.
• Registered as a P.Eng. with APEGA.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Personable and able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Desire to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Project support for design basis, budgets and schedules.
• Participate in facility planning and design.
• Detailed calculations, equipment specification, review and check drawings.
• Work with drafting staff to prepare PFDs and PIDs.
• Prepare and review bids.
• Review equipment vendor data and communicate with supplier and client personnel.
• Prepare regulatory submissions for the AER, AENV, ABSA, OGC and others as required.
• Prepare Line List, Equipment List, Instrumentation List, Tie-in List and Vendor Lists.
