Job summary

Bluestar Engineering Ltd. in Calgary is seeking a Senior Piping Designer to join a growing EPCM team. You will lead piping design work on upstream oil and gas projects, leveraging AutoCAD and CADWorx to produce plots, PFDs, P&IDs, isometrics, and BOMs, and create facility as-built models.

The ideal candidate has a post-secondary diploma in Process Piping Design and 8+ years of EPCM experience, with strong teamwork and communication skills and a commitment to compliant, high-quality design.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in Process Piping Design or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant EPCM experience.
• Personable and able to work with a team.
• Extensive knowledge of upstream oil and gas projects (single/multi-well batteries, test satellites, pipeline gathering systems, oil storage batteries).
• Ability to adjust to change and multitask in a busy environment.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards and piping procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate AutoCAD and CADWorx 3D modelling software.
• Existing facility as-built model creation.
• Produce plot plans, PFDs, P&IDs, piping plans and sections, piping isometrics, and piping bills of materials.
• Modify and revise design documents as required.
• Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity simultaneously.
• Ensure designs comply with approved standards and specifications.

Job Posting - Senior Piping Designer

Bluestar Engineering Ltd. is a Calgary-based EPCM company specializing in small to medium size upstream oil and gas projects. As a fully integrated multi-discipline organization, Bluestar offers a full spectrum of engineering services for identifying, planning, and executing capital projects and optimizing existing ones.

We are currently seeking a Senior Piping Designer to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate AutoCAD and CADWorx 3D modelling software.

• Existing facility as-built model creation

• Knowledge of upstream oil and gas production projects - single/multi-well batteries, test satellites, pipeline gathering systems, oil storage batteries, etc.

• Produce plot plans, PFD's, P&ID'S, piping plans and sections, piping isometrics, piping bills of materials.

• Existing facility as-built model creation.

• Modify and revise design documents as required.

• Managing multiple projects of varying size and complexity at the same time.

• Ensure compliance with approved design standards and specifications to provide quality designs.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in Process Piping Design or equivalent program.

• 8+ years of relevant experience. EPCM experience is preferred.

• Personable and able to work with a team.

• Extensive knowledge of upstream oil and gas production projects - single/multi-well batteries, test satellites, pipeline gathering systems, oil storage batteries, etc
