Job summary

ThoughtStorm Inc. in Toronto seeks an experienced Java EE specialist to design and deliver 7+ years of n-tier enterprise applications. You will work across deployment, troubleshooting, and unit testing, shaping robust architectures.

Responsibilities include leveraging Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Data, Batch, Security), ORM with Hibernate/MyBatis, and SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Aurora). Familiarity with AWS services and Camunda/Drools is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing n-tier Enterprise applications
• Strong expertise in Java EE, application design, design patterns, deployment, troubleshooting, and unit testing
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Batch, and Spring Security
• Strong experience with JPA, Hibernate, or MyBatis for ORM
• Excellent database experience with SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle/PL-SQL, PostgreSQL; Amazon Aurora/RDS desirable
• Experience with AWS Cloud services such as Aurora Serverless, Athena, S3, ElastiCache, OpenSearch
• Experience with BPM/Rule Engine technologies, Camunda BPM and Drools
• Experience with Web Services, SOA, Agile/Scrum, CI, TDD, and automated testing would be an advantage
• Location: Toronto – 5 days onsite at 222 Jarvis Street
