Intermediate Full Stack Developer .NET (6-month contract)

We are currently looking for an Intermediate Full Stack Developer, reporting to the Software Development Manager. The developer will work in a .NET environment, focusing on implementing new features, handling change requests, fixing bugs, and building new solutions. Responsibilities include participating in code reviews, providing feedback, contributing to process improvements, and understanding business and technical requirements. The candidate will collaborate with QA, product management, and analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and unit test complex programs/modules based on business and design requirements.
• Deliver enhancements and project progression on time and within budget.
• Support and improve existing applications to minimize outages and enhance effectiveness.
• Collaborate with architects, leads, QA, business analysts, and project managers to define requirements and assess solutions.
• Produce secure, reliable, reusable, and scalable code.
• Create deployment instructions and support application deployments.
• Work with QA and product teams to troubleshoot and test solutions.
• Follow industry standards for development, security, and testing.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related IT field.
• 5+ years experience in service and microservice architecture, web development, and cloud-based solutions.
• 5+ years experience in web application development in .NET environment.
• Knowledge of web technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Node.js, Vue.js, jQuery, HTML, CSS, XML.
• Proficiency in .NET languages and frameworks such as C#, .NET Core, Blazor, MVC, VB.NET, ASP.NET.
• Experience with databases like MongoDB, MySQL, MS SQL, SQLite.
• Familiarity with IDEs and build tools such as Visual Studio, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Gradle, Ant, Maven, Tomcat, GIT, and unit testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take full ownership of projects with minimal support.
• High attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team under tight deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign.
• Knowledge of Java.
• Experience in UX-driven design development.
• Results-oriented with good documentation discipline.
• Bilingual in English & French is a plus.
• Experience in mobile app development and responsive UX design.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
