As a Sr. .NET Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our suite of utility billing and CIS software solutions. This remote role is open to candidates anywhere in Canada and the US within the Central or Eastern Timezone. It requires travel 1-2 times per year within the US or Canada, and a valid passport may be required for travel.

What your impact will be :

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and enhancements for our software products.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and support, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
3. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using C#, SQL, and Blazor.
4. Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data access and manipulation.
5. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and bugs in a timely manner.
7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our software products.
8. Mentor and guide other developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

What we are looking for :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 7+ years of experience in C# .NET Development.
3. 5+ years of experience with MS SQL.
4. Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. Excellent understanding of design patterns and architectural styles.
7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

What would make you stand out :

1. Proficiency with one or more of the following front-end technologies: React, Angular, & Blazor.
2. Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs.
3. Familiarity with Azure and microservices architecture.
4. Experience with utility billing software or CIS.
5. Experience with SSO.
6. Proficiency in creating and maintaining DevOps pipelines.
