Stantec is seeking an electrical engineer with strong experience in building electrical systems for commercial, light industrial, and institutional projects. You will work under supervision on tasks and as a team member on larger projects, with duties spanning design, calculations, and field work.
The role requires knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code and Canadian Electrical Code, plus Revit/AutoCAD and BIM capabilities. Travel to site may be involved.
You will work with general supervision and direction on tasks and smaller projects, and as a team member on larger projects under the guidance of a Senior Engineer/Designer. You will participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and specification for engineered systems or products for a project verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards / practices. You will perform a variety of tasks which will include Revit design, calculations, and field work.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering & Licensed Professional Engineer required or in final stages.
Minimum Of 6 Years Of Canadian Experience Required.
LEED Green Associate or LEED AP is an asset.
Certifications such as PMP, LC, RCDD is an asset.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
