Job summary

Propak Systems Ltd. in Airdrie, AB, is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Designer to join our engineering team.

You will work with the drafting coordinator, project engineer, and technical lead to develop detailed electrical designs for oil and gas facilities. The role requires a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or EDDT, 2–3 years of oil and gas electrical design experience, EPC exposure, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Cadworx, and Inventor.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Engineering Design Drafting Technology.
• 2-3 years of electrical design experience in oil & gas facilities.
• Experience in an EPC environment.
• AS ET membership is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provides design services by gathering information, making studies, computing calculations, and preparing detailed design deliverables.
• Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate operations.
• Coordinates design criteria with engineering providing layout packages including MCC building, cable tray and lighting layouts, and motor schematic drawings.
• Participates in project planning, man-hour estimation, and schedule development.
