Job summary

Canada Life Group in Winnipeg is seeking an Intermediate Data Analyst to join Value Partners Investments on a 12-month term. You will transform data into actionable insights, build dashboards with Power BI, and collaborate with business and technical teams to support decision making.

You will bring 2–3 years of BI experience, strong SQL and Python/R skills, and a passion for data quality, storytelling with data, and scalable reporting solutions within a growing finance environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of BI and data visualization experience
• Experience building dashboards for business audiences
• Strong SQL and data querying skills
• Familiarity with Power BI Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and Power Query would be an asset

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and translate business needs into analytics solutions
• Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for decision-making
• Collaborate with data architecture teams to design data models
• Support the full reporting lifecycle from development to deployment
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability in reports and dashboards
• Train users on reporting tools and present data-driven insights
